The South Shore will be temporarily busing passengers between South Bend and Michigan City over the next two weeks as overhead wiring and bridge upgrades will take place.
If you are coming to or from South Bend International Airport, NICTD will provide bus service to and from Carroll Avenue in Michigan City at no additional charge.
The commuter train provider says that it will not be busing passengers to or from Hudson Lake. The following trains operating exclusively between South Bend and Michigan City are also cancelled: Weekday EB Train 401, WB Train 422, 424; Weekend EB Trains 701 & 703 WB Train 710.
The construction work began today. It extends through October 28, after which service should return to normal.
