Debbie Ladyga-Block has announced that she will run for re-election as Mishawaka’s city clerk. Ladyga-Block has served as city clerk since 1992, previously serving as chief deputy city clerk from 1979 to 1986.
The city clerk maintains the city council’s agendas, minutes, ordinances and resolutions. The city clerk also oversees the Ordinance Violations Bureau, certifies official city documents, and maintains the municipal code.
Ladyga-Block says that her office “has continued to maintain a high level of professional, courteous and friendly service to the citizens of Mishawaka.”
Her campaign will file the necessary paperwork at the St. Joseph County Clerk’s office in the basement of the St. Joseph County Courthouse on Wednesday, January 7 at 8 am. The announcement says that anyone interested in joining her is welcome.
