Spring is finally here in Michiana. Outdoor activities are resuming as the weather continues to warm up. That includes yard maintenance.
If you have leaves left over from last fall, it’s not too late to have them removed.
The city of South Bend is reminding residents that they can still request a pick up for loose leaves. Residents who live within the city limits can request leaf pick up by calling 311 Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
The program is separate from yard waste collection, which should be placed in paper bags or reusable bins. Yard waste is collected with trash.
The leaf pick up program will only run through Friday, April 17.
