The city has announced a program that will help certain homeowners replace an old or broken furnace.
According to the city:
The City of South Bend’s Green Corps initiative has received a grant to help seniors improve their quality of life and efficiency of their home. The grant will help qualified seniors with the replacement of a broken down or old furnace. Applicants must be age 65+, live within the South Bend city limits, and be a homeowner (not a renter).
