Bike the Bend Registration Opens

Early registration has opened for one of the area’s largest biking events. The 6th annual Bike the Bend will take place on Sunday, June 14 from 6:30 am until 11:30 am.

The over 30 mile route includes rides along the St. Joseph River. Other notable local landmarks along the route include Copshaholm, Four Winds Field, St. Patrick’s Park, Indiana University South Bend, and Seitz Park the Historic West Washington Street.

More than 2,000 participants have taken to the streets in past years.

Riders who register early will receive an early bird discount. Adults are only $20 per person if registered by April 30 while kids 17 and under are free if accompanied with a paid adult. Walk-in registration is $30 and can be purchased at the Kroc Center or designated stops along the route.

Every registered Bike the Bend rider receives admittance to a pancake, sausage and fruit breakfast at The Kroc Center. There will also be other snack stops along the route. Patrick’s County Park, Indiana University South Bend, Merrifield Park, Central Park, Keller Park, Seitz
Park, Healthwin and The History Museum.
