Indiana governor orders bars, restaurants closed to dine-in service

Governor Eric Holcomb announced Monday that Indiana is closing bars and restaurants to dine-in service due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision follows similar announcements out of Illinois and Ohio on Sunday. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer also said on Monday morning that her state would close its restaurants and bars as well.

It’s important to note that delivery, drive-through, and pick-up services are still allowed. Patrons should still exercise caution and regularly wash hands – both for their own well-being and the well-being of employees.

In addition, Indiana is adhering to CDC guidance on large events and mass gatherings. The recommendation is for no in-person events of more than 50 people.
