Offices for the city of South Bend and St. Joseph County within the County-City Building and County Services Building are re-open.
The offices had been closed with limited access to the public due to the pandemic. The St. Joseph County Health Department recently issued the recommendation to allow access once again.
However, due to ongoing concerns regarding larger groups of people gathering in a single room for prolonged periods of time, all county meetings will continue to be conducted virtually in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order allowing remote participation.
The public may access these meetings via the information provided on the corresponding agenda for each meeting. Agendas for each meeting can be found at sjcindiana.com/agendacenter.
As for the South Bend Common Council, it will continue to hold meetings virtually as well. City residents can access the agenda and links to join the meetings at southbendin.gov/department/common-council.
“The public is still encouraged to contact departments directly to either schedule an appointment or to conduct their business either over the phone or online,” the city says.
Many county services are available online at sjcindiana.com. City services can be found at southbendin.gov/covid19cityservices. City offices can be reached at 311 or 574-233-0311.
